I envy Devendra for several reasons, but mainly because of that totally rad beard. No, but seriously, what is there not to like? His song’s are catchy, and have that freak-folk vibe that only freaky folk people can pull off (right?). 

He also has the ability to stop a song midway, switch languages, and continue to rock it. 

Pero en serio, esa barba (ver lo que hice alli?).

Being the sentimental creatures we are, it’s not uncommon to wish for a time or place long gone. We’ve all been there haven’t we? 

That is, until we realize yesterday only seems better when you’re looking back at it.

Devendra Banhart “Lover”

Yeah I know you’ve seen Nick & Norah’s movie but this song was good before then.

It’s got that super funky bassline that makes you want to dance, and props to Michael Cera for showing off the perfect moves for the song. If you didn’t know beforehand, Banhart is a creepster, looking like a crossover between Chewbacca and you’re every day hipster (perhaps that really isn’t a crossover at all). But apparently this is all good since he has been linked to dating Natalie Portman. Yes, music is the great equalizer.
