Converse (Kid cudi, Rostam Batmanglij, and Bethany Cosentino) - “All Summer”

I’m going to tell you a little something.  I wanted to hate this song just because of its blatant marketing for Converse.  However I must say that the song is pretty catchy and the music video (below) is rad.

The song is a collaboration between Kid Cudi, Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast and Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend.

Lissie - “Pursuit of Happiness” (Kid Cudi cover)

Covers are a dime a dozen, especially in the world of Youtube and Garageband.  This one, however, I feel is one of those covers that is better than the original.  Lissie offers much more depth and emotion in her version.  I love her style.  She’s got that “Yeah, I might look like a plain Jane from next door, but cross me, and you’ll end up crossing yourself” look.
